Should you always play your A-game?

If my head is full, I rather not play. Poker punishes distraction so fast. When you're tired every decision starts looking the same and before you know realise, your bankroll has greatly reduced.

    Last movie that you watched?

The last movie I watched is one action film on netflix after work. I honestly started because I wanted to relax but it seems the electricity provider had other plans. The light just disappeared almost halfway and I had to continue later. But the movie was nice, but it's nothing mind blowing but...

How do you stay patient during card dead stretches?

Card dead stretches can be very frustrating. Folding hands after a hand can tempt you to force some actions. That's where many mistakes actually started from. I just remind myself that patience is actually part of the game, it's not punishment at all.

    What Makes Someone Memorable?

I think kindness that doesn't announce itself sticks with me more than anything. You can forget whatever someone wore but you cant easily forget how they treated you when you needed help.

Why Do People Care So Much About Being Right?

People like being right because it feeds their ego. Sometimes nobody wants be the first person to say okay you're correct. social media even make it worse because everybody wants to be applauded.

What's a Simple Life Skill Every Adult Should Learn Earlier?

Yes, financial management is suppose to be among the first things children learn. It's not all these cram and pour alone. You have to teach people how to budget, save, avoid unnecessary debt. It would save many people from avoidable mistakes.

Why Do Some People Love Giving Advice but Rarely Ask for It?

Giving advice is easier because no vulnerability is involved. Once it's your own problem, your pride might not allow you to ask for help. You don't want to look weak or like you are overwhelmed.

What's a Habit You Quietly Admire?

One habit that I quietly respect more is when people always keep to time. It looks ordinary until you meet a person that always keeps everyone waiting. That needs a serious discipline.

How do you stay disciplined after a big win?

The biggest temptation comes after winning, not after losing. Thats when your brain starts whispering to you that you're unstoppable and that's a very dangerous mindset. If I hit a good session, I normally step away first instead of trying to chase another miracle. I have learned to celebrate a...

Do you keep a spreadsheet of your wins and losses?

I started doing it late but it opened my eyes. Before, I honestly believed i was winning more than i actually was. Your memory can deceive you in that regard. When I started entering everything on a spreadsheet, that's when I saw reality. All the small losses i ignored had added up quietly.

Does a "cold" dealer ever make you leave the table?

I don't really blame the dealer for any bad run. Sometimes it's just coincidence but your emotions can make person look for somebody to blame. I've watched people leave the table immediately because the dealer looked unlucky to them, then another player sat there and started winning. It's really...

Is Baccarat a game of skill or just a coin flip?

No matter how people argue this, I still believe baccarat looks mostly like a luck to me. Yes you can understand the rules and manage your bankroll well, but once the cards start coming out, it's a different story. I've seen some persons celebrate one hot streak today then tomorrow everything...

Why Do We Keep Checking Our Phones Even When Nothing New Is Happening?

The.phone issue has actually become something else honestly. Sometimes I unlock my phone, stare at the screen, then forget what I even wanted to check. It's crazy. The social media, messages, bank alerts have actually trained us to expect something new every minute.

How do you prepare mentally before a session?

I can't just open tables immediately. My brain doesn't work like that at all. I normally relax a little check if the network is stable, clear all sorts of distractions then maybe listen to quiet music before playing.

Do you ever quit a session because of your mindset?

The moment i notice that every bad beat is annoying me more than the normal thing, i just stand up immediately. No more discussion. That's usually the sign.
  16. uptrendfinancialsignal

How important is bankroll management for your mental game?

Yes, bankroll management is not just to protect your money, it protects your sanity too. when you know that one bad session will not finish everything, you would relax more and stop forcing risky plays.

What's the best poker mindset advice you've ever received?

Well, on of the best poker advice i ever heard was “dont chase losses. It's a very simple sentence but it's quite difficult even more than writing an exam.

Who should Jake Paul fight next?

If Jake Paul really wants silence from critics, he should fight somebody everybody agrees is dangerous right now. Enough of these debates after every announcement. Ngannou would be an interesting matchup.

Who’s the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world right now, in MMA or boxing?

Pound for pound arguments are never ending. Today everybody is talking about one fighter, next month another champion appears. But for boxing, I still rate Usyk highly because the man keeps proving himself.

What do you think about weight cut in MMA?

The weight cutting is a thing of concern to be honest. Watching some fighters during weigh-ins is even scary. Their faces are dry and their body is weak. The current system needs serious adjustment. people shouldn't nearly collapse just because of weight advantage.
