Cash games vs tournaments: different bankroll strategies

Tournament variance is brutal compared to cash games.

Do you keep separate bankrolls or just adjust buy-in rules? Curious how people approach this.

I haven’t really played tournaments, but based on my observation I can say bankroll strategy in tournament needs to be more conservative because of higher variance.
I play cash games, and generally speaking I’stick to around 20–40 buy-ins since results are more consistent and I can reload anytime.

Tournaments is quite sweet and interesting until variance hits you . I keep a small separate bankroll, because if you mix it with cash games, confusion will starts to set in. I just set limits and respect it, if not you would get frustrated.
