The essence of playing with a demo accounts is certainly to test strategies, practice bankroll management, and understand different poker variants without bearing the risk of losing real money in the game.

It's why everyone who's a newbie in poker have been advised to start with a demo account before using real money to play but unfortunately some people start with a live account as newbie.

Did you start playing poker with a demo account or live account?

When I was a beginner, I jumped straight into the action and started playing buy-ins. As my interest in the game grew, I began watching more poker and actively studying strategies to improve my play.

I played in a demo account before I jumped in a real game. I didn't play poker because I wanted to, I tried because I was working for a casino community and I was supposed to join various casino sites and try casino games. Since I did not want to lose money, I practiced in demo account until I had enough confidence to try it for real

At first, I didn't even touch the demo, I went straight to the live account. First week I just lose all the money. That was when I ran to the demo to learn some sense. Demo helps, but it didn't fully prepare you because emotions are different.

When learning to play poker and especially playing poker for either real money or against others, I always played using a demo account until I got used to playing and I felt confident in playing.

Well, I never used a demon account. I learned by watching people play in home games as well as casino environment. When I played poker first time I played in home environment with someone to guide me by my side.
