Do you have a routine that you follow every time you play poker? I’m trying to learn more about the game and looking for strategies I could adopt. Some people boast of routine before they sit down to play. Do you have any?

My routine is a small stretch and a quick review of the last session I had. If I jump in without better preparation, I would play loose. I don't underestimate preparation at all.

I've been playing MTT professionally for 4 years. I find it very important to maintain a routine, both in my studies and before starting the grind. When I deviate from the routine, things usually don't go as well. I typically study and practice spots for at least 20 or 30 minutes every day and do some stretching before starting a session.

I like to make sure I'm well-rested, it's never good to play when tired. Eating properly before I start playing helps keep me refreshed too. Other than that I don't really have a pre-game routine.

I used to play card. I never had a pre-gane preparation. I just used to make sure that I would just win the game, no matter what. I must say that I was not a really good person at playing cards.

If I'm under any kind of pressure, I would play poker no matter how much I'm tempted to. This is because I know very well that my decision making will not be at 100%.

I think that decision making cannot be 100 percent accurate when it comes to playing the game if pocket and this is why poker and other similar games are quite different from real, physical games.
