Do you play home games at all?

I use to play in a weekly home game with my parents when I first started playing poker. It was a $5 buy-in, usually top 2 or top 3 paid depending on how many players. I haven't played in any home games in a long time. I wouldn't mind playing a regular home game again.

That's my favourite because it help me to learn pretty fast. Though, i observe that a lot of players play donkey and don't take it fairly serious. And it is very difficult to learn from such games because there is no commitment

Home poker games with friends were always low stake. And that is where I particularly learned poker bit by bit. The banter was always far more than what you would experience in a typical casino. Loved the fact that one could actually experiment without pressure on those home games.

I have not played in the home games lately but I used to have low-stakes poker sessions with friends in college.
