Before you join a poker site you haven't played before, what makes you trust your money on a site?

Do you make a small deposit, and test a cash out when you win? Do you only play if you know others cashed out?

I am pretty selective when it comes to participating in new poker sites. I go ahead and check on the site operation and players reviews and look for signs that may be questionable.
