Several factors distract players in online games including multiple table monitoring and excessive use of social media platforms along with digital diversions. There is is need for focus which requires blocking distraction-based websites when playing.

They play too many hands, and bet too much.

It's easy to wait for a better hand, and get value against new players, they don't pickup on things such as betting patterns.

Its kind of a scary topic there are ALOT of things, ill give a couple. like @Bawse said people play way too many hands from all positions, overfolding blinds is another there is a thing called minimum defend frequency (MDF) that most players have no clue about, chase too many draws for the wrong price (SPR). depends on what level your at and consider mistakes also. folding is underrated and most want to gamble so patience and paying attention is worth it. alot of ways to exploit info and target opponents. people make mistakes pre reg too believe it or not like entering without enough time, screaming kids/wife, work commitments, not having a nice quiet area to grind drinking alcohol whatever, better stop before i rant lol

@pukana There's a lot of players that overfold, and play too tight. I like how you put it "patience and paying attention" that's a very good approach to poker, especially tournaments.

"You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em" lol

Overfolding and playing too tight are definitely common mistakes. Another one that drives me crazy is players who don't adjust to table dynamics. You got to be able to read the table and adapt your strategy.

Unable to manage bankroll is one mistake that is very common for players who play online. There are always situations where the players will play way too high for their bankrolls, resulting in bad decision making, and it often increases the risk of being busted.

A common mistake in online poker is playing too many hands without thinking about the odds. Another issue is not changing your strategy based on how your opponents play. Many players also get frustrated after losing, leading to bad choices.

Number one mistake of poker "newbies" as such, or even less practised players, is that they play WAY too many hands and as a result of this often can find themselves what we call "pot-committed" with a mediocre hand at best.

These are also the types of players who generally tend to talk a lot about "bad beats" - (ie their pair of queens was "rivered" by your pair of aces etc etc, all the general nonsense). :ROFLMAO:
