Online poker sites will request for your personal information when you're making use of their services especially when you want to process withdrawal for the purpose of conforming your real identity.

It's known companies with access to people's personal information usually sell it for their own benefits. Even Google do this with their users information. Do you trust poker sites not to do the same thing?

Well, it is nothing new that most sites will demand for your personal information, at least to an extent. If I trust them that they will pay me when I win, then I should be willing to give them some of my personal information as well.

This is why adequate research and proper review should be done before diverging personal information on a poker site. I wouldn't even log in to a poker site that I find fishy in the first place.

I would only trust a poker site that I knew was legit and a trustworthy site with anything such a personal details and bank details. Smaller poker sites I would be very wary about giving my information to.

I do not trust anyone online with my personal and financial information. This is why I thoroughly vet and research a casino before signing up. If they have had a scandal, breach, or payment issues in the past, I am not playing at that casino.

I don't trust poker sites with my information but if you want to play poker deposit and withdraw you have to give them the information. In Australia with recently had some multi multimillion dollar corporations hacked, so if they can get to them they can easily get to the poker sites if they want to

I understand your worry regarding online poker sites.It’s always safest to be safe and even the large companirs with the best security measures are not immune to these hackers. Playing online poker is safe if only strong passwords are used.

You're right! The amount of money they handle on the site shows that players information can be safe with them unless there's a major case of breach.

It's crazy to trust anything online. Yes, Google is the most despicable, along with Facebook and Palantir. These three, besides selling you out, also do psyops. I think the only solution is for a big company people trust to verify you, delete the information you send, and provide with public/private key tokens you can use to uniquely verify yourself as a real person. anything besides legal sites like Stars, WSOP, Party, and GG will always be a bigger risk than average. For example with stock you doxxing your self to some unknown Russian guys.

I agree with you. The most important thing is that you must make sure where your money and date is kept can be trusted to a great extent otherwise, you're playing with fire.

To be sure about reputational status of a poker site, I must see site' license and reviews of users. If I'm satisfied with what I saw, then I can trust them with my info.

As it is now, if reknown sites like Google can dish out people's information out, poker sites can not be exception. There are certain information i can give out but not all. I can give out my identification number but not my credit card information. My credit card and debit card is no go area including my bank verification number. This information is the secret code of my money.

The only information that I can give out on a online poker site is my Government approved ID. And that would be to only very trusted poker sites only for verification purposes. I can't give anything that has to do with personal information beyond that.

I trust the bigger, regulated sites like PokerStars or 888poker with basic info, but I'm still careful. I use different passwords and never save payment details. The smaller or offshore sites make me more nervous. Data breaches happen everywhere these days, so you can't be too cautious.
