I use both Facebook and Instagram for different purposes because they have different uses depending on preference. Instagram is visually oriented and I use it for visually oriented stuff. Facebook is more comprehensive and good for conversation and that is what I use it for as well.

I’ve noticed that instagram is better for sharing pictures and memes compared to facebook sometimes

My kind of profession doesn't have much attention on Facebook. I have a Facebook account though but I am not very active on it. For some reasons, anything arts has more audience on Instagram and it is what I use most for my promotions.

I use Instagram now and then, mostly to share stuff and check out poker pages. I don’t post often, but I noticed the more I engaged with comments and stories, the more high-quality followers I seemed to attract. Still not big on posting every day, though—it feels like too much sometimes. Just sticking to things I like sharing and people seem to vibe with that.

Off late, I am trying to be more active on Instagram. I recently cleaned up my account and updated the info, even added new profile picture. I am working on content, especially video content and soon I will start posting on Instagram.

How's your facebook account doing? Do you have it set in professional mode?

I use both, but Instagram more these days. Facebook feels crowded and noisy now, too much gist and distraction. IG is lighter for me now with quick scroll.

Oh for sure, I agree with you on that one. Who are some of your favorite creators on instagram?

I do not like either of them, but I have no option as of now. I usually use facebook right now because I have to use it out of need. I have many friends on facebook. I do not use Instagram right now. However, I may use it in the future.

My social media habits have really changed over time. I still open Facebook more often because I have pages that I manage there, while Instagram feels more like scrolling pictures and short videos. Each platform has its purpose but moderation is important…

One of my social media goals for 2026 is to grow my account. Currently, I have less than 100 followers and I am aiming for at least 10k by the end of the first year

Well, the good news is the fact that I have never been addicted to social media. I had developed a habit of using social media very often. However, now I have changed that habit for good reasons.

I've had both Facebook and Instagram for a very long time but when it comes to the one which I use more actively, it's definitely Facebook. There was a time when I used to cross post on both of them but I had to unlink my Instagram from my Facebook in case Meta bans either of them so they won't be affected.

Honestly speaking, I have never used Instagram that much in my life. Perhaps I might have had used it a few times. Regardless if that, I have rarely used it. I have installed Facebook app on my phone and I use it almost daily. I have encountered many scammers on Facebook though.

How is your facebook page currently coming along?
I spent most of the time on my Facebook pages and I have been gaining views and followers everyday, though it's a bit slow. I work on four pages at the moment. I have pages for Nigerian politics, trending videos, short movie clips and sport. I will add AI videos later this week. Then, I would focus on developing them fully. I publish 5 videos on each page in a day.

I use Facebook, and have a Instagram account, but I don't use my Instagram.
Why are you not using your Instagram? It's easy to combine using it together with your Facebook because I know so many people especially social media influencer doing it.

I’ve used it a few times just to check posts without logging in, and the anonymous view worked smoothly. The Secure Browsing feature made me feel better about not leaving any trace, especially since it doesn’t store data. If you’re just trying to keep an eye on things quietly, typing in a username and scrolling is pretty quick and stress‑free.

Neither. Not a fan of social media in general.

I use Instagram more because it feels quicker and less cluttered. Facebook’s support has been rough for me too, so I mostly stick to simple photo posts and scrolling.
It's the same support system that you get on Facebook that's available on Instagram. If you run into the same issues you had on Facebook on Instagram, there wouldn't be any difference in how they handle it.
