I've come across a post where someone complained about PayPal banning his account because funds sent to him came with a note - for gambling.

This makes me wonder if they will approve payment to PayPal account?

It's against PayPal's terms of service to accept transactions from gambling sites. One of the reasons I prefer cryptos over PayPal.

PayPal got funny rules when it comes to gaming and gambling sites. It is better to make use of cryptocurrencies when trying to fund or withdraw funds from the account.

Paypal has a lot of restrictions when it comes to sending or receiving funds, it can freeze your funds if you use it for gambling. Poker is gambling, so paypal does not accept poker sites.

PayPal is a very annoying payment processor. I keep praying that one day cryptocurrency is going to be generally accepted worldwide for any kind of transaction.

PayPal has plans to add cryptocurrency to their website/app. Until then I prefer not to use PayPal.

That's not strictly true, or at least not true in the UK. In the UK, I can deposit/withdraw from online sportsbooks (and casinos/poker sites) using PayPal.

Of course, PayPal prohibits any transactions connected with online gambling, including poker sites. Once any suspicious activity is noted, the account could be put on hold or banned and that's not a good thing. Cryptocurrencies work better with more flexibility.

I haven't used PayPal to withdraw from any gambling site but I know that PayPal's policy varies from region to region for both deposit and withdrawals. Others may find it difficult while in some regions, it might be an easy transaction.

I have never used PayPal to receive money as it is limited in my country. Just reading the comments here, and I found out that PayPal is anti-gambling. I now tend to believe that the gambling industry would benefit more from crypto integration.

It’s not that PayPal flat-out bans gambling transactions, it’s that they only allow them under tight conditions: licensed operators, legal jurisdictions, and pre-approval. So yeah, for casual or unlicensed stuff, crypto’s the go-to. But for legit operations, PayPal can be used, just gotta follow their rules.

I think PayPal have come to realization that cryptocurrency have come to stay and is dominating most online business transactions and they trying to be flexible at least in some areas where gambling is a major online transactions.

PayPal is the worst online processor and indirectly scammed online hustlers millions of dollars through fraudulent policies. In fact, it is PayPal strictness and unfriendly policies that give rise to cryptocurrency popularity. Thank God for cryptocurrency that simplify online transactions.

I think they did when paypal first started out, but now they are against such stuff since gambling is kind of a high risk thing.

In markets where poker has a stable regulation, PayPal supports deposits and withdrawals to and fro poker sites in such markets. 888poker and poker stars allow withdrawals and deposits using PayPal.

I actually did not know this, but then again, I wouldn't say that I gamble too often and if I do, I tend to use my debit card to deposit and my bank account to withdraw funds.

I can understand why PayPal would be strict with accepting gambling payments.

PayPal have already added this feature of cryptocurrency on their website and app. It is very possible for you to transact between cryptocurrency and PayPal without having any problem.

Paypal does not support payment for gambling and porn. However, they allowed in the early times. I haven't sent poker or gambling sites with paypal as supported payment method
