Have you ever had another player’s trash talk actually change the way you play poker?

Does it tilt you and make you play more aggressively, cause you to make riskier decisions, or do you use it to your advantage and stay focused on your game?

How do you usually react when someone starts trash talking at the table?

Trash talk does not change how I play, I am unaffected by trash talk. I don't listen to people when I am playing, my entire focus will always be on the cards and I will be thinking harder about my moves.

I just try to pay attention to the aggressor's actions, and if I can, I'll try to eliminate them from the tournament. Or, if there's a reporting system, I simply report them. And I play calmly.

I don’t let it bother me if they are talking to each other back-and-forth. I may ask them to stop if they don’t then I will just block the chat. I think it’s silly childish but then when you understand the psychology behind it, they do it because no one can actually see them no one can actually take offense personally at them they’re protected behind a invisible screen of the Internet, so they bully others trying to prove what to who.

I think it’s best not to give them any attention or let them think their trash talk is affecting your game. Instead, use it to your advantage and exploit that player in future hands. Pay attention to things like their timing and when they start chirping, because it can give you some useful information about how they’re playing.
