DraftKings has unveiled a new subscription service aimed at enhancing the betting experience while driving profitability through high-margin wagers. The service, DraftKings Sportsbook+, launched recently in New York and offers members “stepped up” boosts on parlays, which are among the most lucrative bet types for sportsbooks. For $20 per month, subscribers gain access to increased payouts on parlays where each leg is set at odds of -500 or narrower.
The boosts range from a 10% profit increase for two-leg parlays to a 100% boost (doubling the profit) for parlays with 11 or more legs. This feature is designed to encourage bettors to construct larger parlays, which require all legs to be correct to win, thus increasing the sportsbook’s margins.
In a statement, DraftKings described the subscription as a way to provide “an enhanced fan experience,” emphasizing greater excitement and value for users. Currently, the offering is limited to “select, eligible customers” in New York, though the company has not detailed the eligibility criteria.
