A different way to play poker has just gone live.

Full disclosure — I'm part of the team behind High Hand Poker™.

We've built an open-hand poker game where everyone can see the hands developing. Betting starts from the first card, cards arrive progressively up to seven, and you need at least Two Pair to win.

That changes the psychology considerably — you're betting on information that's sitting right in front of everyone.
And right now, everyone starts at the beginning.

High Hand Poker has only just gone public on Android, so the rankings, Table Master records, achievements and prestige positions are there to be taken. Android players have a head start before the Apple release.

It's free to play, with entertainment-only virtual coins — no cash gambling or cash prizes.

We'd ultimately love to see whether this style of open-hand poker could make the jump from mobile into live poker.

Play it free on Android:
