How can sports help bridge cultural divides?

Sports is already bridging the cultural gap naturally. You would see people that are from different backgrounds supporting the same team like one happy family. I remember when Nigeria played Ghana last year, even though we tease each other online, there’s still that respect. Football especially connects people that doesn't even speak the same language.
 
Sports is a universal language. Like, even if we are from different tribe or country, when the match start, everybody will be cheering their club together. I remember football tournaments where fans from different backgrounds are actually bonding over the game.
 
I'll specifically go with football as the sports which unites the whole world to have one language everyone understands which is GOAL. I can't wait for the next FIFA World Cup tournament to start.
