I haven't played in tournaments but I have watched other play. I have noticed that in the early tournament levels have deep stacks and small blinds. I have seen some players play cautiously whereas others try building chips immediately. Have you played in tournaments, what did work for you? Do you thinks patience is more profitable than aggression during the first few levels?

In the early stages of a tournament, especially for new players, it’s generally better to take a tighter approach and observe the action around you.

By watching how others play, you can spot leaks or betting patterns to exploit. I like playing tight early on to gather information I can use against my opponents in future hands.

Never played in tournaments. I would definitely want to play in tournaments but before that I need to become a good player

The problem is that everybody wants be hero from level 1. I used to be like that too, rushing to build a stack, only to crash before things even start. Now I calm down, observe and pick spots. Having a small patience early gives a better position later.
