There's always a possibility that something which used to be allowed might end up being banned. So, in a situation whereby the government take a drastic decision to ban all manner of gambling and betting in your country, what are you going replace it with as someone who's really into gambling and betting?

Sheldon Adelson spent years pushing to ban online poker and online gambling, and in some ways he succeeded by influencing regulations and restrictions in certain markets. He believed that if people played online, fewer players would travel to his casinos in Las Vegas.

Personally, I think life would be pretty boring without online poker or gambling. Online poker gives players a way to compete, improve their skills, and enjoy the game from anywhere, especially for people who can’t easily travel to live casinos. It also helped grow the poker community worldwide.

So many companies would close up and millions of people would be out of jobs should the government ban gambling and betting generally. I wouldn't support such decision because it's plain evil.

There is always home games, right? Well, if betting and gambling are banned, home games are also technically banned, but government cannot sneak into everyone's house people can enjoy gambling at homes. In our country, most of the gambling activities occur outside casino, in home games.
