I think skill is more important than confidence. Having said that confidence helps you apply that skill properly. Without it, players hesitate or second-guess decisions. Too much confidence without skill becomes recklessness.

Skill cannot replace anything in poker. In fact, you build confidence from your skills. The better you are at the game, more confident you are. However, you need to differentiate between confidence and over confidence.

Confidence helps a lot in poker, especially when you’re bluffing or handling pressure, but skill matters way more in the long run. Sometimes confident players go broke because they overestimated themselves.

I have always been a believer that skill is the most important thing in poker. If you do not have the skills needed to be able to succeed when it comes to playing poker, that can greatly affect your confidence and that soon shows through, once your opponents see this, and they will, they tend to take advantage of it.

Mindset can affect strong player faster than bad cards 😂 I remembered the time I was playing with too much fear and I missed good spots because I don't want to risk anything. I think the mindset is a silent edge that most people ignore until stress expose them.

Life is like a game of poker: it is not about what cards you are dealt, but how you play them.
