Is VIP status actually worth the amount you have to spend?

I checked one casino VIP page and the amount they expected you to spend before reaching the next level nearly made me laugh. The rewards looked nice, I won't lie, but the journey to reach there is so tough.

If you play a lot ot certainly helps but for someone like me who play occasionally, it isn't worth it
