Justin Zaki Wins Final Event of 2025 PokerGO Cup, Joey Weissman Dominates the Series
The 2025 PokerGO Cup wrapped up with Justin Zaki claiming victory in the $25,200 No-Limit Hold’em finale on Thursday. While Zaki secured the last win, the true standout of the series was Joey Weissman, who delivered one of the most impressive performances in PokerGO Tour history.
Joey Weissman’s Remarkable Run
Weissman kicked off the series with a runner-up finish to Michael Moncek in Event #1 but got his revenge in Event #2, securing the title. His momentum didn’t stop there—he added two more second-place finishes, solidifying his dominance.
By the time the final table began, Weissman had already locked up the overall PokerGO Cup title, finishing with 758 points, well ahead of Eric Blair (568 points) and Michael Moncek (484 points). His stellar performance also pushed him to the top of the 2025 PokerGO Tour leaderboard, just ahead of Kristen Foxen.
Zaki Closes Out the Series with a Win
The final event of the series saw seven players return to PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas for Day 2, with Weissman holding a slight chip lead over Zaki and Sam Soverel.
The first elimination came quickly as Jesse Lonis busted in seventh place ($59,000) after losing a 60/40 to Clemen Deng. Shortly after, Michael Berk exited in sixth place ($81,125) when his AxQx failed to hold against Christian Roberts’ Kx3x.
