Taking mental breaks is part of survival, it shouldn't be luxury. I remember one week I played almost every night, and by Thursday my brain was just off, I couldn't do anything further. I was just making dumb calls 😂. Since then, I’ve learnt to pause when my head feels heavy.

I make sure to take breaks and get my head straight before jumping into another buy-in. Playing when your mind isn’t right is a huge leak, and I’ve seen a lot of players burn themselves out by not stopping at the right time.

One thing that I have come to realize in poker is that playing good comes from good thinking and not from rushing to enter the next hand. I always take breaks between buy-ins. Even if it is a very short walk, it always helps me to have a balanced mind before the next buy-in.
