Minimum age?

In Canada the minimum age to gamble, and enter a casino is 19.

I think the minimum age is generally 18 but it varies with different locations. The rule is made to protect the children from the effect of gambling.

Here in the States it varies between 18 or 21, depends on the type venue, and if it is on tribal lands or not. The majority are the latter, however. As liquor is often available at such establishments, that is also a factor that often results in it being the older age. For our younger friends, best to check with the establishment before making the trip.

In my home country, gambling is illegal for local people. You cannot go to any casino if you are the citizen of the country. Gambling is open only for foreign nationals.

Wowza. Ain't that a kick in the head. Out of curiosity, is there any reason given why a citizen can't play, but they have casinos for foreigners?

Government does not want local people to lose money in the casinos but want foreigners to play so that they can get a lot of taxes from the casino operators. It is a business.
