Bankroll management is extremely important, and I recommend it to everyone that plays poker. However, don't over-think bankroll management. Keep it simple, and stick to the gameplan, trust the process.

Ideally you want at least 20x your buy-in before moving up stakes. You might even want to increase that to 25x, or 50x your buy-in if you want to be really safe. Giving yourself a couple bullets at the next level before committing to moving up to the next stakes is a solid gameplan.

So, if your following the 20x buy-in rule, and you've been playing $1.10 stakes, 20x1.10 = $22. If you have $22 or less in your account you should be playing $1.10 stakes. Now with my two bullet rule. You'll need an additional $4.40 to move up to the next level, and give yourself two shots at $2.20 tournaments.

Anyways, that's how I try to approach my tourneys, and follow the same plan. Same thing applies when you have to move down stakes.
Count your buy-ins, don't break bankroll management!

That's a little bit much, no? No way your going to go on a stretch where you lose 200 buy-ins in a row. If that happens, you need to study, and change how you play.

Don't steam off buy-ins when you're fuming, take breaks. Cool down for a few minutes, it can do a lot for the mind. Variance can't be that bad where you need 200 buy-ins.
You obviously need be a winning player to have success long term.

I'm just padding on what I've learned from paid training courses. Nobody needs 200 buyins for BR management alone. This gives you bankroll management with the addition of being g able to play optimally without financial concerns.

For now my bankroll is very small and I hope it will change soon... that's why I don't have any plans for my bankroll right now
