I watched a poker game and a guy literally spent half the game scrolling his phone. Others kept reminding him of his turn to play. I understand if it's a work message or your bank app suddenly alert you, but this guy was just scrolling tiktok like nothing is happening. The whole table was waiting every single time. Do you think this is right?

I don't have problems with people using phones on the table but it would certainly create nuisance if they start delaying the game because they are on the phone or start talking loudly on phone.

I think it's best to keep your phone away while you're in a hand. A quick glance is one thing, but constantly checking messages slows the game down and can come across as disrespectful to the other players. Once you've folded, I don't think it's a big deal.

I like everyone to put their phones away while they're in a hand. Poker moves more smoothly when everyone is paying attention, and it shows respect for the other players. Between hands or after folding, checking your phone is perfectly reasonable.
