Phil Nagy: Acr Poker Boss
Phil Nagy, the CEO of ACR Poker, reportedly told poker pro Scott Ball to “sue me” during a financial dispute—and Ball did just that, filing a lawsuit on December 23 in San Diego Superior Court. The suit accuses Nagy, ACR (formerly Americas Cardroom), International Processing Services, and Foozle Ventures of breach of contract.

Ball’s talent agency, End Game Talent, LLC, was hired by ACR to recruit streamers to promote the poker platform. However, Ball alleges that ACR failed to make millions in promised payments, leaving his agency unable to pay many streamers, including high-profile creator Ludwig Ahgren. Nagy counters that ACR paid End Game Talent as agreed and that the agency was responsible for compensating the streamers.

This disagreement has now escalated into legal action. Ball is seeking damages of at least $30 million, restitution for unjust enrichment, legal fees, and additional compensation for defamation and trade libel.

Lawsuit Details
According to Ball, his agency worked with ACR for over seven years, securing contracts worth “tens of millions of dollars.” Yet, he claims no payments have been made since June 2023. The lawsuit includes nine invoices for $3.3 million each, dated between June 1, 2023, and April 1, 2024. Ball alleges that Nagy defamed him by publicly attributing the nonpayment to Ball’s failure to “follow through on commitments” and accusing him of “dropping the ball.”

The lawsuit asserts these statements were made with “actual malice and intent” to harm Ball’s professional reputation while deflecting blame from ACR.

Linked Lawsuits

Ball also faces a related lawsuit from Loaded, LLC, over unpaid dues tied to the ACR situation. He claims he cannot settle that debt until ACR fulfills its financial obligations to his agency.

A hearing for Ball’s lawsuit against ACR has been scheduled for July 18, 2025, where the court will determine the validity of the claims and resolve the dispute.
