People compare poker to chess. It requires skill, mental endurance and discipline. But Olympic committee and gambling are two different things. Poker deserves respect as a skill game, yes butI don’t see the Olympics accepting it anytime soon. Some ideas sound good in theory but in reality it's totally different..

Poker is a game that needs a lot of thinking. If we look at it critically, Poker might be a very good option for Olympics but with a trophy involved instead of money. More people will definitely want to play Poker .

Personally, I wouldn’t be against poker being an Olympic sport. At the highest level, it’s a game of skills that combines math and decision-making, and all of it matters way more than just luck.

It might be fun though but I don't think it should be added to the Olympics.

No, gambling shouldn't be publicised globally on such a big stage. So, I wouldn't want to see poker being included as one of the sports playing in Olympics. Poker isn't even a sports in my opinion.

I do see how poker can be compared to chess but it's not a sport......it's a game. Yeah, it may require some skills but it's all mental skills. There's no physical aspect of it and sports require some physical aspects to be able to play. So, I vote no on adding it to the Olympics.

I don't consider poker or chess a sport, so no. They're both just competitive games.
Chess is recognized by International Olympics Committee as a sport. Sports isn't always about physical activity. However, I don't think Poker should be in Olympic. No matter how you try to define it, it will always remain a gambling game.

Poker requires playing of bets. That scene will not be allowed in an international tournament.
Besides, it’s a game not a sport.

It depends on how you define “sport.”
Poker has clear skill elements like strategy, probability, and mental endurance, which support the idea. But it lacks physical athleticism, and there’s also debate around gambling associations, which makes it controversial.

There is too much luck involved in poker for it to be considered an Olympic sport, even though skill is an important part of the game.

Poker has strong arguments for inclusion, but i don't think it fits. Poker demands skill, strategy, and mental endurance, which supports it as a competitive discipline. But the Olympics traditionally emphasize physical performance, and poker’s link to gambling adds more controversy.
