I’m pretty strict with bankroll management because I hate going broke, so I’d say my risk tolerance is around a 2 or 3 out of 10.

I also stick to tournaments only, I really dislike the downswings in cash games and find the swings hard to handle. Tournaments move at a pace I prefer.

What about you?

I put my risk tolerance to 5 on the scale of 1 to 10. Sometimes I make risky bets, especially when I see everything going favorable. Sometimes I play safe and back down as soon as I start seeing losses.

Low risk tolerance sounds safe but sometimes it limits your growth too much. There was a time I stayed overly cautious, I avoided good spots just to protect my balance, the progress stalled. When I was reviewing hands, I saw missed opportunities clearly. Risk management is good, but too much caution becomes its own problem.
