I usually stop playing or take a break after losing 2–3 buy-ins (or bullets) in any game.

Sometimes I just need to cool off after a frustrating hand, and I think it’s good practice to reset mentally by stepping away for a bit.

What do you think? How about you?

The stop-loss rule is a lifesaver if you follow it strictly. I ignored mine once, chasing recovery, telling myself that the next hand will fix everything. It didn’t. Knowing when to walk away shows discipline, not weakness. If you can't stop, losses will decide for you and that one is worse.

Taking a break allows for a mental reset. Even stepping away for 15–20 minutes can make a big difference for your mindset.
