How did playing poker impact on your life? What were the challenges that you faced when you decided to make playing poker part of your life? Was the transition easy or difficult for you?

What's the main aspect of your life that never remained the same after you started playing poker?

One of the biggest challenges that players across while playing poker is managing emotional highs and lows. It’s very overwhelming and sometimes it affects decision making greatly.

It took me a long time to be discipline with my bankroll, once I overcame that challenge my overall game has improved, and I no longer worry about losing my entire bankroll. Winning forever.

The biggest challenge I had with playing was how I viewed money and risks in relation to poker. I had to learn to detach my emotions from the money when playing poker. Another way that poker affected me is in my social life. My friends complained that I was less involved with them. I had to always take much time to study poker.

Poker have increased my cognitive abilities. I can literally read people and take five step ahead before others come to realization. Poker psychology have helped me to analysis and understand human behavoiur faster and better than before. Poker have changed virtually how i see people and their approaches to issues.

For me, one major lesson that I had to learn by heart was patience. When making decisions in poker, it’s common to rush or to be overwhelmed by emotions and this usually results in losses. The challenge in learning to balance discipline and risk-taking was the most difficult to learn.

Poker has really shaped my mindset. It pushed me to think more analytically, stay calm under pressure and make decisions with clarity instead of emotion. The transition wasn’t easy because dealing with swings, discipline and consistency took real effort but it changed me for the better. It’s one of those things that sharpens you far beyond the table.

That's true! Poker is one of those games that can force a person to grow. Even me, I didn't know that poker is that difficult until those early swings nearly got me off track. That kind of mindset is not to joke with at all, but once it clicks, it can be of real help for real-life decisions too.

Revenge playing was what I struggled with so much recently but I've been able to manage it well. Whenever that feeling kicks in because I've been losing, it's going to make matters worse.

I had a struggle with knowing when to stop when I'm a winning a streak. It's not only when a player is on a losing streak they should learn how to stop but winning streak too. This is because it breeds over confidence which is going make a player make serious mistake.

Seriously, enough isn't being said about this that you have just mentioned because it's only a few people that know how to run away once they have won big. Others feel like it's their lucky day to keep going as long as possible.

Online gambling is illegal in our country and playing in casinos is allowed only to foreigners. I cannot play poler without breaking the laws. This is the biggest challenge for me.

For me, the hardest part has been staying patient during long stretches when nothing seems to go my way. It's easy to question your decisions after a few bad sessions. Learning to separate results from good play has been one of the biggest challenges.
