I was reading about gambling history and I stumbled upon some crazy facts. I never knew that the oldest known dice date back to around 3000 BC and that was in ancient times. You can't believe that the slot machine was invented in 1887. What are the favorite gambling facts you have come across?

I heard that poker was invented by Persians over one thousand years ago. Moreover, that poker was derived from tarot card. Tarot card was solely used for divination for royalties until later after over 500 years laymen start to ise it for gambling.

I find that poker was believed to have had its roots in Persia. Is this true? I’ve always thought it originated in the United States.

The origin of poker has been and is being debated with different kinds of opinions. Ancient Persian games like As and Nās are credited for bringing poker and some other opinions too.
