What is better Soundcloud or Spotify?

[Cpvr]

Which streaming service do you prefer for listening to music: SoundCloud or Spotify?

Do you think Spotify is better than SoundCloud, or do you prefer soundcloud?

[Bawse]

I don't use either, but I have used both. I think SoundCloud is better because it's free, and the free version of Spotify is annoying with the ads.

[zoldos]

Neither. I download all my music. hehe

Do you download your music from YouTube using a MP3 converter?

I use an "underground" p2p mp3 sharing app.

Spotify is better for me. It's my favourite music streaming service. I was considering paying for YouTube music premium subscription but I changed my mind.

Spotify remains my number one choice for music streaming platforms just like it does for you. That is where I discover weekly release and artists that I enjoy hearing.

The shuffle mode on Spotify is nice. I always find a lot of new music and artists that I’ve never heard.

[Daedalus]

I feel like I'm a little biased in my preference for Spotify.

[zoldos]

Spotify is cool, but has ads for the free version, if I remember correctly. I still download all my music. 50k+ songs now. hehe

[Demon_skeith]

Spotify is decent enough, but I just play music offline mostly. More reliable.

[Deep]

Spotify is better for mainstream music and playlists, while SoundCloud is great for indie and emerging artists.

I do agree! Here's my Soundcloud if anyone's interested:

I have used both Soundcloud and Spotify and between the two, I have found that I prefer Spotify with their premium service they have.

Both Spotify and Soundclouds are great for streaming music. The one to pick depends on individual preferences but for me, I prefer Spotify. But Soundclouds is the best bet for emerging artists because it lets you upload your musical tracks directly.

Soundcloud has a lot of underground music that sometimes you won't be able to find on Spotify as well. It's a haven for a lot of indie artists.

I forgot Soundcloud existed until I seen this thread pop up again.

I use Spotify. I've never really used SC and it's certainly not popular in New Zealand. I have used Amazon Music and Youtube Music in the past too but always prefer using Spotify.
