The betting order is the most difficult thing in poker. Every few minutes, a beginner would ask “whose turn”. It might look easy until you tried explaining it to someone. That's when you would realized that some things that the experienced players call the basic are not really basic.

I think one of the hardest lessons for beginners is learning to fold good-looking hands. It's tempting to play every decent hand, but knowing when to let go is a big part of becoming a better poker player.

Technical skills are easier to learn in poker. The more you play, the better you will become with technical skills. However, soft skills such as making good decisions, emotional control, playing within your bankroll limits are harder to master.

I think the hardest rule for beginners to learn is that you don't have to play every hand you're dealt. Folding can feel boring, but it's often the correct decision. Learning that patience is a strength, and not a weakness.

Ain’t that the truth!
When I first started, there was language that I had to actually look up because it wasn’t basic. It was new now I sit back and laugh at it, but still at the time it was puzzling and there wasn’t much Poker lingo in google library back then.
