I’ve joined so many forums with great designs but everywhere was just dry. It was just like a ghost town. If people don't talk, then it's as good as dead. I always check if real activities are happening, not just the admin posting. Even small gist or argument attract me more than all those fancy badges.

I play poker and other casino games once in a while and being in this community helps me learn and share. I have been on a lot of niche communities and based on my experience, this community is doing better because it has daily active users. One thing we can do is publish more guides and reviews of poker and other casino sites.

A poker forum feels worth being active in when rhe community discussions improve your thinking or decision-making.
Good forums have real hand discussions. People explain reasoning, not just results, which helps you learn patterns and become a better player.
