A table can feel soft one hour and unusually tough the next, even at the same stakes. Is this just player rotation, shifting dynamics, or perception bias during runs of bad hands? Have you been in situations slwhere the table “feels” different without obvious reasons?

That's because players are constantly joining and leaving. A table that looks soft one hour can become much tougher if a few strong regulars sit down. Time of day, promotions, and tournament schedules can also change the mix of players and overall skill level.

Online poker tables change mood faster than we expected. One minute, people are playing one hand, the next minute they changed completely. Player rotation matters more and it also happens because many casual players log out after losing small money.

Higher-stakes games are typically more challenging because the overall skill level of the player pool is stronger. Fast-paced games and turbo-style tournaments also tend to increase variance, making short-term results more dependent on luck.

In my opinion, slower tournament structures reward skill more effectively because they provide players with additional opportunities to make strategic decisions and gain an edge over weaker opponents.
