Every era has its “next big thing” that doesn’t quite deliver. Which current trend (AI agents, metaverse, crypto, etc.) do you think won’t live up to expectations?

It's the AI agents. It's beginning to smell like overpromise to me. Yes, it's powerful, but people are expecting miracles from it overnight.

I think self driving cars are presently overrated as at now. What with the wild timelines when we are still more than a decade to achieve full autonomy of self driving cars.

I think a few things are getting overhyped right now, like fully autonomous self-driving cars, metaverse-style virtual worlds replacing normal social media, and the idea that AI will replace most jobs quickly. They all have potential, but real-world limits and user behaviour slow things down a lot.

I think Gen AI tools are now being overhyped. We are seeing massive flow of various kind of Gen AI tools that generate text, images, videos, and sounds. And sadly, a lot of people are falling into them

I feel the self-driving cars at the moment are being overhyped, as well as the use of AI as.

We are seeing AI developing at a really fast rate, and I, for one, do worry about how it will affect jobs in the future, as many places are already struggling with unemployment.

Self-driving cars are also worrying as well, especially with how fast they are being pushed out.

Humanoid robots have been having a lot rave. It has been touted that it would take over human work. But if you check the rate of deployment, it is very minimal. Not worth the hype for now.

It definitely has to be AI tools, most people now make use of these tools for graphic designing, claiming that it's better than actual designers.
