If it’s a freeze out I probably wouldn’t commit in early stages of the game but if you’re dealing with a re-buy or re-entry game go ahead and knock yourself as long as you can afford to get back in . Doubling up can carry you through some waiting time pay attention to the blinds don’t wanna do it when there’s so small it doesn’t really increase your stack.

In a freezeout, I typically avoid committing my entire stack in the early stages unless I have the nuts or a very strong read. In rebuy and re-entry tournaments, I think some players are too willing to fire multiple bullets, and it ends up hurting their long-term EV.

I limit the number of rebuys I'll make because I strongly believe that taking breaks during a bad run is important. After several consecutive losses, frustration can build up, and that's when it's easier to make costly mistakes.
