There are popular advices that people grow up with. Some of them include, "follow your passion", "Love covers multitude of sins ", "money is the root of evil" and many other cliche advices.

Which of these cliche advices do you find to be generally misleading. For me, it is that, "money is the root of evil". It can make one stay poor.

Money is the root of all evil is from the bible but the quote have been misinterpreted or quoted wrong. The right quote is this, " LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL". Money is not evil but love of it is the cause of many societal problem we are having today. I think the quote is still true till date.

"Give to ceasar what is unto ceasar! ", it is this quote that is the driving force of corruption in most African countries especially Nigeria . Every government officials and corrupt politicians know how to use the above quote in extracting, stealing, converting, looting national treasury with impunity.

That's true. "The love of money" is different from "money". I think that advise is always sincere but very erroneous and has been the reason why some people stay limited financially.

“Follow your passion” is one advice that nearly trapped many people honestly 😂 Passion don't pay bills automatically. I talked about this with a cousin of mine still chasing one unrealistic dream without any backup plan. Passion matters, yes, but skills that solve problems matter too.
