Most players understand the math behind chasing losses, yet many still increase bets after a bad session. Is it frustration, ego, adrenaline, or the belief that a win is “due”? Have you ever noticed yourself playing differently after a losing streak? What usually pulls people out of that mindset?

Even when players understand poker strategy, losing can trigger emotion that overrides logic. Chasing losses often comes from frustration, ego, or the feeling that “I need to get it back now.” Once that mindset kicks in, decisions shift from long-term thinking to short-term recovery.
