I have observed even experienced players finding it hard to let go of premium hands when the board becomes dangerous. Is it due to the attachment to hand strength or fear of being bluffed? How do you train yourself to fold confidently in high-pressure spots?

I'm a tournament player, and I like to keep pots small unless I have the nuts or see a good opportunity to make a move. I think it's easy for players to become intimidated by scary boards, especially in multi-way pots, because there's a good chance that someone has connected with the flop or turn. Managing pot size and picking the right spots to apply pressure are important parts of my tournament strategy.

New players often struggle to fold premium hands after completely missing the board because they're too attached to the strength of their starting cards. As you gain more experience, it becomes easier to evaluate the situation, read the board texture, and determine whether you're likely ahead or behind. Sometimes the best play is recognizing when a premium hand is no longer the best hand.

I think that because players become emotionally attached to the strength of their starting hand. After investing chips, it's hard to accept being beaten.

That has a lot to do with your ego sometimes. The chips and your mind could tell you that this hand must win. Meanwhile, the board has already changed the story. Folding can be very painful, I won't lie, but losing bigger pot is more painful.
