Why no chatting at the tables

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Why are tables so quiet nowadays? Back then little banter made games feel alive. Now everybody just plays like robots and disappears. I think some platforms disabled chatting because of insults and spam but still, the silence feels weird. Sometimes the gist is part of the enjoyment, not just the money.

Some players don't like to chat because they might feel like their focus is being messes up which is going to affect how they play. This is a valid reason as far as I'm concerned.

There’s usually less chatting at poker tables because players are focused on reading situations, protecting information, and making decisions. Some also prefer silence to concentrate. Conversation happens, but during serious hands, many players avoid talking to maintain focus.
