One of the secret of becomimg a successful poker player is to learn from the masters and peers who are experienced in game of poker. Birds of the same feather flock together. If you are surrounded by poker pros who are smarter than you, it will not take time to become a successful poker professional.
Every successful professional poker have network of poker peers that help to keep the fire burning,

You do not have to have poker peers to become a pro but they could be very useful. Being coached by more experienced players is also a quicker way to improve. They will tell you what to do, how to do it and what not to do.

The very reason my poker skills have been better within just two years is because I always play against winning players and spend time to learn from them. There are pro players that I host at home to help me sharpen my poker skills.
