The World Poker Tour (WPT) has secured a multi-year agreement with CBS Sports Network, making it the exclusive broadcaster for recent and future premiere episodes of WPT events. CBS Sports Network, which has aired the World Series of Poker (WSOP) since it moved from ESPN, will now extend its sports lineup to include WPT content.

Starting November 14, the agreement will bring new episodes to viewers, featuring highlights from seasons XXI, XXII, and XXIII of the WPT. The first episodes include the 2023 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship, where Wisconsin’s Josh Reichard joined the ranks of WPT champions.

This partnership marks the first time CBS-branded networks will broadcast WPT content. Originally debuting on the Travel Channel in 2002, the WPT quickly became popular, and since then, it has reached audiences through various satellite and online platforms. Future episodes will showcase events like the 2023 $40M Guaranteed WPT World Championship, won by Dan Sepiol, along with the anticipated ClubWPT™ Gold $5M Invitational Freeroll.

WPT CEO Adam Pliska expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting how the partnership aligns with WPT’s ongoing expansion in both quality and reach. “We are thrilled to partner with a top-tier network and to present premium poker content to CBS Sports’ vast audience,” he said.

Loc Sondheim, WPT’s VP of Studios, Distribution, and Ad Sales, echoed these sentiments: “CBS Sports Network is the perfect platform to elevate WPT’s TV presence and reach new households across the country. We’re honored to bring poker excitement to a network featuring premier sports content.”
