In online poker there's a lot of poker sites that operate without a license, and they're considered unregulated poker sites.

What's your opinion on these sites? Would you still play them?

im not a big fan tbh, i got scammed on GG awhile ago for $780 odd almost quit and there regulated and they didnt really give a F at best so nothing from others treating you worse than that. its good to test waters and try get a withdrawl asap and see how that process goes. just be careful. i still play GG ACR 888 and Stockpoker. not even sure if they are all regulated tbh lol. the poker apps i wouldnt play like pokerbros or whatever

Well, I can't stake my money on unlicensed online poker websites. The absence of regulations makes it very risky for all players who participate on them. I strictly choose reliable gaming platforms that maintain fair games along with secure fund protection.

I am curious, although I do not put big money on sites, HOW would you know if they are not registered? Is there some clues to look for or do they just come out and announce it?

I'm pretty sure you can look up where poker sites are legistlated. I think Pokerstars has a license with Isle of Man, and a few others. I did research awhile ago when I was looking into online poker licenses myself.

To check if a site is real, you can look for permits from trusted groups online. I often search for the license inf͏o on the site’s page, often found in footer or about area.

I don't do much research because i don't deposit much on poker sites because am still learning. A learner suppose to test the waters before depositing tangible amount on poker sites.

I never thought of this! Thanks for sharing such a vital information!

Every licensed poker site should have it's license certificate on their site. And that can be verified on the site of the licensing agency. Any poker site that doesn't have that license certificate, I won't even bother to sign up on them.

I think unregulated sites are too risky for me. Sure, they might have softer games or better bonuses, but what happens if they just disappear with your money? I'd rather stick to licensed sites where there's some protection. The peace of mind is worth more than any potential benefits.
