In most sports, the referees on field decision is final and that can't be changed after the game. Referees are human beings which means they are capable of making mistakes in their calls. Assuming after a game which someone played and was supposed to win but the referee made a wrong call which made him lose the bet. A few days after receiving of the decision, the referee openly admits he made a mistake.

Do you think betting companies should take that into consideration on the bets such decisions affected?

The bookmakers will never adjust anything because of referee mistake. Once the match ends, that's the end. I’ve lost bets because of nonsense decisions before, it pained me so much, but that’s the game.

Seriously, it can be very annoying. In fact, if it's possible to sue referees in that kind of situation, I wouldn't mind exploring that option because some of them are very stupid.
