Online poker involves sitting in front of your PC all alone grinding for hours! A lot of poker players find it difficult to stay inxsuch state for hours playing poker. In fact, a lot of poker players quit because of poker loneliness.
How do you handle poker loneliness?

Online poker can definitely feel isolating sometimes. I try to join poker forums or Discord servers where I can chat with other players about hands. Some sites have decent chat features too.

I also play music to maintain the energy in long grind situations. I also interact on poker forums as well. Being a member of a community will help eliminate isolation very quickly.

I prefer being alone, so I don't mind loneliness from online poker at all. I'm in my comfort zone when I'm by myself.

Im soo comfortable in my own company its not really an issue for me, I have a young family now so thats abit different also. i was an extrovert when younger and loved being out there with people (i was a sponsored skateboarder) going to comps and demos all summer long for 10+ years. it was really hectic for me and a different lifestyle, alot of drinking and late nights partying. im 13 years sober from alcohol now and being by myself helped alot as all my friends still wanted to drink etc, i played more poker and enjoy all the peacefulness i can get tbh.

When you are playing online, you already should know that it is different from playing offline. And that you would not have the audience that you get from playing live poker. I always make sure that I have some small chewables that I munch slowly while grinding for long in online poker. That keeps me from getting bored along the way.

Being lonely while playing poker can be a major issue for most poker players because playing for an extended period of time can be energy draining. I do a couple of things when I notice that I am becoming lonely while playing poker. The first is watching others play poker on YouTube, for instance. I enjoy watching those live streams and before you know it, I've spent a couple of hours before heading back to playing mine.

When that is not working, I can play just to have a walk. There is no rule that I must play poker for a particular time which means that I can take some time off when it becomes a bit lonely for me.

Dealing with poker loneliness, especially online, can't be something that is easy to deal with at all. I do know that there are many poker communities online and also on Discord who would be more than welcoming to those looking for new friends and people to talk to with a strong interest in poker. I am pretty sure some poker sites even offer communities on places such as Discord.

I don't play poker but I imagine online poker could feel pretty isolating compared to sitting at a real table with people. Maybe joining poker forums or Discord communities where you can chat with other players could help Or even streaming your games so there's some interaction.

I don’t play online poker much. The main reason is it feels lonely out there. That's why I like to play with friends and family. It is so much fun.

Interestingly, I mostly play online and I don't feel lonely while playing online. Since there are no noisy talk, I find online poker less distracting. I can focus entirely on the game while playing online.

I haven’t experienced loneliness while playing poker, so I don’t know how would I deal with it if I ever experience it. Is poker loneliness a real thing?
