Patience usually pays off in the early stages of lower-stakes tournaments because many players are willing to rebuy, especially when the event isn't a freezeout. There's often no need to force the action early, waiting for strong spots and letting opponents make costly mistakes can be a more profitable approach.Early tournament flips annoy me honestly. I know mathematically it’s fine sometimes but emotionally? That's a different story. These days I only take close flips early if the player looks reckless.
