The “gap concept” is one of the most basic techniques a player must use in poker with an aim of building up their decision-making abilities. It refers to the difference in hand strength between your starting hand and the hands you're facing. When up against aggressive players, make sure to reduce your range for starting hands because your opponents are more likely to have better hands.

What do you understand about the Gap concept?

First time hearing of the gap concept, but it's common sense to not bet aggressively towards aggressive players in my opinion. I'm usually pretty good at picking up on situations where players are trying to push me around, and capitalize on it.

The gap concept is very easy to master because it's pretty straightforward. It's all about choosing the right hands to play and been very careful of getting into battles with the aggressive players unless you have a strong hand.

Hey all. I've been playing mobile poker apps (PPPoker, X-Poker,PokerBros, ClubGG) for a couple of years, mostly in Asian clubs.Built a comparison directory at poker-catalog where I track rakebackrates, club traffic, and agent reliability. Happy to answerquestions about the mobile poker world — it's a niche mosttraditional poker players don't know much about.
