Most sites online nowadays have faster blinds which encourages players to make moves faster.

How important is tournament selection? Are the hyper turbo tournaments beatable long term?
 
The tournament format matters a lot. Faster blinds actually translates to having a faster play. And majorly, the hyper-turbo tournaments challenge players a lot. To win, you need some top level skill and strategy.
 
Its extremely important it determines the icm.

Yes hypers are very beatable, you just need to understand the icm and adjust your range.
