Proper bankroll management is extremely crucial for playing Poker safely. A Poker player should be able to set up the bankroll more effectively.
However, these are the steps to take for to ensure safety of funds

1. Determine how much money you are willing to spend.
2. Save it in a separate poker account.
3. Do not spend money required to be spent on other things.
4. Make sure that you don’t lose a lot in one go as this will demoralize you.
5. Check your money often.

Share the steps you take to set up your
bankroll.

Your first paragraph is kinda confusing though. But generally, I don't keep stick to a rigid plan when it comes to bankroll management. Sometimes I set up a separate account for poker, but most times I end up withdrawing it to do other things. 🤣

I am super protective with my bankroll, there is nothing wrong with cashing out, and spending your winnings on other things. You need to enjoy your money too, right?

I only play tournaments, or sit and gos, but most sites don't have enough traffic these days for regular action in SNGs.

The more buy-ins you have the better. You want a minimum of 25+ buy-ins before moving up stakes, but even at that when you reach higher stakes, you want to be more conservative with your bankroll. I recommend 50-100 buy-ins if you want to play it safe.

Variance in tournaments can be crazy, but ultimately it rewards players that grind hard for the long-term.

That's a good advice. The more buy-ins the better. I have always been the person who likes to play it safe.

That is quite responsible and sustainable way of handling your poker bankroll. Taking money out and spending it is of course vital and that is a big part of the fun in playing poker. I wish to commend your insight with regards to making sure that you have a sound bankroll especially when one makes a decision to step up his betting range.

i would say you need 100 to 200 buyins regardless of the buyin it is a great base to see what stakes you play out so $500 bank roll i would play nothing over $5 but is is ok to maybe put in a $10 tourney 1 or 2 times a week and when it comes to cashing out it is up to you but think do you want to move up stakes if so still try and stay with the ratios of the buyins that you started with bank roll management is not easy you need strict rules other whys you can blow a bank roll in a day good luck to all and see you on the tables

Wow, that’s quite a sensible way to manage your money when playing poker. I think that the 100-200 buy-in rule will telll what stakes is better to play. I also like to maintain discipline while playing too.

Organizing a poker bankroll demands proper preparation with strict discipline. It's true that we need to maintain a bankroll that equals at least 100 to 200 times your buy-in amount because this provides proper understanding. A $500 bankroll should be used to play at $5 stakes.

That's wonderful advice! But i must add that every player must first and foremost know his limit. When i play i have limit for the day. Once, i reached the limit, i stop playing. This approach demand high level of discipline. Managing bankroll is all about personal tolerance and discipline.
