It doesn't matter the format that you're playing, in showdown, they're all the same. Although, in cash games, a player may decide to show one or both cards at any point during the hand without facing any penalty. But in playing a tournament, cards exposed intentionally or unintentionally, the hand is seen as dead.

Have you intentionally shown someone your hand when playing poker?

It's not recommended to show your hands because you're giving away free information to your opponents, and they might be able to use that information against you in a later hand, if you're not careful.

I do, sometimes intentionally show my hands though. I like to change up my table image, and showing your hands can make you look like a weak/new player. Every bit of information helps at the tables, and how other players think/believe you're playing your hands also plays a part.

No, why would I do that? I wouldn't want to give my opponents the upper hand.

In a live game I have shown someone beside me when I've made a crying fold

Exactly! The most important thing is for you to know what information you're trying to give out when showing your hand. Don't give it out too much in a way that it's going to come back and bite you hard.

I gotta admit I do show my cards when I’m pissed and tilting but when I’m starting to win I stop showing cards I need to stop completely it’s showing tooo much of my information and hands now

Yes, it has actually happened to me before. I did that to mislead an aggressive player. Although it worked, it was temporary. I'll advise you to avoid showing your hand to prevent unnecessary damage, especially in a tournament. .
