While 5-10 minutes late arrival is completely understandable, some people arrive very late, sometimes they show up even 30-60 minutes after everyone else has arrived. Do you always wait before starting, or start the game and let them buy in late? How do you and other players handle late arrivals without creating unnecessary arguments?

For me, it depends on the type of game. In cash games, late arrivals usually aren't a problem since they can join when a seat opens. For tournaments, I prefer having a clear late-registration deadline so everyone knows the rules before play begins.

If someone is always coming late, you just have to stop waiting. It's has simple as that. Waiting for five or ten minutes would not be an issue, but one whole hour? You just need to start the game.
